I knew I might lose but I needed to be certain
Or be endlessly unfair
A heart that has grown cold
Or maybe not
Just a soul that needs catalyst
So I went on -
A courageous facade
A frightened heart
A baffled mind
I know better now
But I lost the battle
Should I go on?
A fragile facade
A broken, fearful heart
A strained mind
Now I am certain
But alone.
